Comp cams SBC roller rockers for G1 twisted wedge heads
Good Evening, Does anyone know what the difference is in the roller rockers made for the SBC G1 twisted wedge heads such as the 1610's and their regular roller rockers. Are they back-set and if so does anyone know how much ? I was thinking that if they are back-set I could use them to move the rolle...

Re: Chevy trick flow twisted wedge heads
I have a set of the G1's still new in the box. The G1's have a 13 degree intake valve angle, they had such a bad time with guys trying to run stock rockers on them, which they advertised could be done by the way, that they went to the G2 and that has a 16 degree intake valve angle that you could act...

Re: SBC Hydraulic Retrofit Roller lifter
I understand quality cost, and the 4602's would be no problem if I had a NASCAR sized budget...LOL I purchased my first set of Morel 4602 lifters for 500.00 and I thought that was hard to justify but man these days they are so high that to be truthful it would not take much more and they would cost ...

SBC Hydraulic Retrofit Roller lifter
Does anyone besides Morel make a .750 wheel hydraulic retrofit style roller lifter for a SBC ? When I am looking up roller lifters most of the descriptions do not tell you what size wheel they have so I assume they are .700. I know the Morels are good, but man they are pricey..

Block filler for SBC street/strip
I was thinking about doing a short fill to a little below the water pump holes on a SBC 400 street/strip car. I know this may cause me to need an oil cooler, I will monitor oil temp to see. Is there any pros or cons to Hardblok vs Rokblock ? They seem to be close to the same price, Rokblock being a ...

Re: How much HP will a RPM Airgap support
Hey mag2555, I found the flow numbers for the SBC RPM Air Gap on more than one site. But I did notice that some of the guys post the flow for the lowest port and then show their after porting CFM numbers. Good marketing I guess, so you go from 210 cfm to 270 cfm, which makes the port work and money ...

Re: How much HP will a RPM Airgap support
Hey Joe, thanks for your reply. Have you ever compared one of your cleaned up RPM air gaps to the AFR Titon DPR dual plane intake? or even just an out of the box RPM air gap at the 550 to 600 HP level ? Wondering if the AFR DPR has bigger as molded runners than the RPM for use with 406, 415, or 421 ...

How much HP will a RPM Airgap support
Hey guys, I have seen builders advertise that they made 530 to 550HP with engines that have a RPM Air gap intakes on them. Do you think they did port and plenum work to the intake to get that kind of power ? or could you get there with an out of the box intake ? Just wondering because I had seen a s...

Re: SBC 406 carb and intake change advice
I like the 300-110, but I think it is another 1" taller, which is tough on a camaro hoodline, and another $100.00, so the -25 would be easier on the wallet and hood clearance. I see the AED 950HO is advertised as basically 750 with 850 plate, 820 CFM carb. Do you think I should go for the Annul...

Re: SBC 406 carb and intake change advice
From what I can find the Performer RPM airgap flows about 210 CFM. If you port match it and do a little plenum work and got it to 230 or so I wonder just how much HP that could support on a 406 ? And how it would do with a bigger carb ? It would take a lot of port and plenum work to get it to flow t...

SBC 406 carb and intake change advice
Going from a set of heads that flowed about 238 cfm to a new set of aluminum ported heads that should go 290+ at .600 when they are done. Old combo was a 406 with a old comp 292 hydraulic, 11:1 comp, RPM airgap with 750 Holley DP carb. Car is 3400 lb camaro, 3:73 gear, TH350, 3000 stall. ( Car sound...

Re: Blown 355 Review
I was wondering if you could share more about the build? Like what heads he used, and were they ported ? If flow tested what did the heads flow ? What kind of fuel you were using ? How much base timing and how much all in ? Is he planing on pump gas on the street ? or high octane race fuel ? Thanks ...

Re: Dart SBC engine block
I think the main, ( no pun intended ) reason for the 400 main size in the Dart block was that it was a nich in the market for guys that already had a strong rotating assembly in a stock block that had finally failed. Cylinder walls, main webs and decks ah crackin... I think that with an all new buil...
