I have my suspicions as to what is happening to this bearing but I wanted to see what the brain trust here has to say as well? Ive been happy with the Dart SS heads for engines like that.
I used a set on a 383 a few months back that was 9.5-1 with a very similar cam and made 450 on tq an 380 on hp.
Used an Airgap intake and 750 Quick Fuel carb.
