Re: brand new kolee seat grinding set with cabinet

That setup looks like a US government surplus? nothing wrong with that. stones interchange with Sioux that's a plus, also I believe the driver will drive Sioux spline stone holders.KOLee always made quality stuff, the price your asking in todays market might...

Re: Anybody rebuild sioux stone holders?
Before I started making the complete holder I was modifying Sioux holders which means that they had to come apart, the early holder in the pics comes apart not easy but somewhat serviceable. The design after used a wafer band pressed between top and and tube.To get theses apart I built a backwards pr...

Re: GM fault code part two
I have the same truck,it seems the 2WD version can do some wacky electrical stuff including throwing codes. My friend whos a GM tech. advised me to take the wire connector on the crossmember, diconnect then connect. That fixed mine, seems the 2WD were affected. worth a try?

Re: rod bolt torque compared to stretch
Might want to consider contacting Tom Molnar, his rod bolts are made by ARP,but to his specs, they stretch to the recommened torque. If it says 30 ft.lbs. then an additional 40degrees will yield say .0065. they do the first time and repeat.everytime. His bolts are designed correctly. He also supplie...

Re: how to improve your valve seat work
Knight, I use the single angle cutters, mainly for appearance. It looks better. If you bump the seat and top cut with the stone on freshen ups, then 60 and 75 it, with separate single angle blades, it actualy looks like you used the machine to cut the seats, plus they are more defined, and sharp, a...

Re: how to improve your valve seat work
Maybe Ill chime in here. Frankshaft, you said it I cant add to that, except I was talking with a couple of stock super stock engine builders at a race, the point came up cutters or grind, I believe theres a purpose for both, I also believe in ground finish. myself and a well known builder admitted w...
