sponsorship coach

Is there anyone here that can vouch for the sponsorship coach package that Mr. Valdeer sells. I'm looking for actual results from racers, not just someone promoting the product. Thanks for your time.

ladder bars

Is there a good web sight or book that explains how the ladder bar suspension works and how to set them up. I am also new to this and will be driving a 1981 Camaro for a guy this year and I'm totaly ignorant to this style suspension.

cylinder pressure

You may be able to get some more cranking psi. by backing off the exhaust lash. With the overlap, it will close the exhaust valve sooner, therefore sealing the pressure sooner , giving you more cyl. press. Just a thought, it worked for me though.

piston to head clearence

If you are using a steel rod then you need to have .035 to .045 piston to head clearence. If you use an aluminum rod you need .065 to .075 piston to head clearence.

oil pans

Reher-Morrison likes to use Moroso pans but they customize them. If they like Moroso, then I would stick with them. Hope this helps.

block prep

Gary, the Reher-Morrison assembly manual states that after washing the block with soapy water, then blast all passages with high pressuer, then blow dry, then apply oil immediately to discourage rust formation. I've used WD-40 in the past with no problems. Total Seal rings also recomends WD-40. Hope...

Adger, do you think I would be better off raising the compression (from 10.2:1 to say 12.5 or 13:1) and keep the engine a 468" with these heads, or is it still a good idea to go for the bigger cubic inches with a 496" and stay with the low compression. On another note, I remember John Ling...

Adger When you say your customer with the 496 pushed it "over" can you be a little more specific. I'm in the process of building a 496" with a set of these heads done by John Lingenfelter. I'm going to stay around 10.2:1 comp. These heads on a 461" engine with 10.2:1 comp and a c...

Find a new machine shop. I have a set of those same heads from John Lingenfelter. they have 2.25 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves in them. If you get into the water jackets by cutting the seats, then you shouldn't be doing machine work on big block chevys. Just my thoughts though.
