Spring Recomendations
Speed Talk, I'm about to once again (3rd time this year) to change cams on my combo. I recently installed a Hi-Ram intake on my LS7 and I feel that Ill be leaving power behind/not maximize the combo with my current cam ground by Cam Motion: @.050 15.5 53.5 66.0 12.0 109 117 .657/.648 lift Current sp...

Re: LS7 Question: PTVC
So in theory I should have enough.
I plan on .375 or .380 @ 1.8 for intake lift have not decided.

Re: LS7 - Help Me Analyze
I have a lot of dynojet experience and in my opinion this is not a dyno issue. Map KPA reading at start and end of run? Can you post a data log? I've made similar (I think slightly more) with much less cam so I don't think that is holding you back. Spring installed height and lifter preload? Lifter...

Re: LS7 - Help Me Analyze
I personally I would've sorted the valvetrain when Warp, RW Tech and Knight stated they would start with valvetrain. Hang around more often- this isn't like most forums in many cases. Fair enough and I agree. I was already on the path of changing parts, that is why I moved on but the question stood...

Re: Help Me Analyze This...
Bringing this thread back alive. As I was browsing thru my old pics I came across this shot I took of one of my dyno pulls. It clearly shows something is wrong and what I assume is valve float or something. May be that was the clear indicator of why it would ONLY gain power thru the power band and s...

Tell me about my combo!
Gents (Gals?), Wanted to get some feedback on my project and see what is your feedback on the good, bad and ugly. Everything is pretty much bolted as far as the engine goes, just waiting on Manton for the pushrods. The overall combo. Short Block: Stock LS7 (4.125 x 4.00) (Titanium Rods) Heads: Stock...

Re: Help Me Analyze This...
Conventional wisdom from the good old days would be to add some exhaust duration to extend the power curve today exhaust ports are more efficient and the header change may do the same thing and adding duration may be too much so easiest thing first may be those shorter rams then the headers then fo...

Having now seen the added pics you posted. If that is the MSD intake manifold with the interchangeable runners, try a set of the short runners and retest you might just find the results you are looking for. Unfortunately the MSD runners are not interchangeable like the FAST, and the FAST with the e...

Re: Help Me Analyze This...
Let's recapitulate Lifters not collapsing but may have stability problems HR lifters are subject to collapsing due to many factors, too much spring, too much acceleration or rocker, too much valve weight so BVVC Those lobes are pushing 10 years old and are from the early days of LS- have the camgri...

Re: Help Me Analyze This...
Ok. Let me answer some of the questions. EEC is stock E38, HP Tuners (latest edition) for tuning. Injectors are FIC850cc, fuel pressure was within specs. AF and Timing table or logs I don't have access to at this moment (Im at the office) don't have access to them. But AF/Timing @ peak TQ, peak HP, ...
