Re: Grumpy's old pro stock small blocks, hp
Quote: I don't think that the car in that story is the real Vega. That car disappeared at the truck stop across from the drag strip in East St Louis. Unquote. I have personal knowledge of the Grumpy theft event, and the person who was blamed for it had nothing to do with it. I talked to Tryson, Jen...

Re: Extremely short rod BBC?
The crank would need so much mallory it would cost a fortune and then it may fly out because of the material around the pieces is not thick enough to withstand the forces created and then you will have a pile of #4#$ even worse if oil gets on the tires. Not worth it

Re: Choosing a cam for a Ski boat?
I guess you've never seen an "SK" boat.
The SK I learned to ski behind won the Long Beach to Catalina ski race twice. Not bad for a "non-ski boat"
I think they still do that race but the hulls are semi -v 20' plus nothing like a old 16-17' antique fl...

Re: Jet Boat Motor Opinion
If it's a lake boat a neutral and rev is good to have, no matter what drive system you run. Having to use a paddle to get out of the way or get into a dock makes you look like a fool. And having a boat that will get out of sight from your tow vehicle is even better. Big difference in a hot rod lake ...

Re: Jet Boat Motor Opinion

There are flow charts for each pump like your dominator jet, with a certain impeller There is only so much water each jet pump can push thru them and the charts will show you what rpm...

Re: Will oval ports work on this combo?
I have ran this same cu in combo 481 likes rpm so i dont think your going to find a oval port head that going to work well with this bore size and rpm range that this combo needs.. you would need to sink a ton of money to a oval port heads. A aluminum head would be a great weight savings without the...

Re: GM oval port questions
I have ran a few set of 049 heads on my 496 ci marine engines and the run real well, on the downside is all the work in putting larger valves and bowl work and porting i could of bought a set of alum heads saved all the weight and been ahead of the game. But I do like the oval port heads when all th...
