The BB Chevy head may have been casted at Canfield in Ohio, But . Where did the core and head design originate from :?: Mena, Arkansas .

I roughed in these ports for a 355 bracket engine. As I said earlier the
design is good. After removing ~ 0.100" of material from the port roof,
there is still ~ 0.450" left to work with. Also there is plenty of material to
work the short turn.

I am doing a set of the Holley SBF heads right now and I wish you would have posted a 'before' pic. These Ford heads have a massive wing before the guides. Knocking that out and opening up the bowl to where it should be brought the heads from 234 to 264cfm. Still a really small runner with 2.02 valves.

Looks like your bowls are still small but it looks like you are in the 'work in progress' phase.

I didn't think to get before pictures. The only place I removed a lot of
material is the port roof. I mentioned earlier the guide boss was huge, once
that was worked the port looked a lot nicer. These have a ways to go, my
own stuff always gets pushed aside.

Here's a set of unported, OTB Holley 575 small block Ford heads (left) versus the Brodix ST50 heads (right). The Holleys "look" like an Edelbrock casting they way the exhaust flange is molded and the rocker bosses but I am probably WAY OFF! :D
