Could you elaborate on that? A few years ago I took my engine to a reputable machine shop to have the cylinders bored out for oversize pistons.I gave him the block and the pistons and the rings. He asked why I brought the rings. I tell him that I thought he would need to know that I was using moly rings. He tells me it doesn't matter any more.
Now, this guy has a lot of experience so I took his word for it. Dave, I'm positive you know this guy. He recently retired from the only shop downtown.
