Re: SHOWCASE YOUR RIDES OR...........
Appreciate the gesture. I'm just not one for NHRA anymore. I do race NHRA tracks, although I have decided, while my customers race NHRA events, I'm just going to stick with the high purse prestigious bracket races. I'm a big fan of 1 to 2 race offering a day, rather than a 5 day journey with only one race to be offered. I just don't want to be considered "filler" for the pro cars and nhra's pocket book. The nhra experience has diminished considerably as the years go on, and that's just unfortunate. You feel like a rock that gets constantly pounded by the financial waves. They understand that their captured audience has an addiction and they are taking advantage of it for themselves first and foremost leaving at best a slight crumb for the racers to nibble on.
I know for a fact that I can do very well in comp, although I am at a different point in my life and have come to realize that after 30 or so years, that racing is a selfish hobby, especially if a large portion of your immediate family does not really have an interest in it. My children are at that age now where I feel it is important to spend my down time, with them and my wife. They grow up fast and before you know it, they are off running with friends and hobby's of their own.
