Enginequest 200cc iron heads

Post by boogie »

Does anyone have feed back on EQ CC200BA cylinder heads? I found a pretty good deal on new bare castings. Plans are to use them on a 383 SBC in a street driven truck.

How do they compare with say a 200cc Dart iron platinum or Sportsman II in 200cc?

Thanks

Good heads. Quick Google search and found flow #s at about 260 cfm at .500, .600 and .700
Lots of info check Stan Wes's web site.
Comparable to dart.

Yes, they are good. We have used them in the past in many street cars with great success. They respond well with porting and can hang with most cast iron heads in the class.

Thank you both for the feedback, Next question, Would these in a 200cc runner kill low rpm torque in a street driven, short cammed 383 truck? I know a smaller runner would be better suited, Its just the fact that I found a hellava deal on the 200cc versions.

Spend the $100 0ver a catalog cam and call Mike Jones, fill out the questionnaire on his website first
he can tell you if he can grind a cam that will make those 200 cc heads work
do you have the flows- have all the details together when you call with YOUR combination
headers, weight, compression, trans, gears, converter, etc

I am actually running a Jones hydraulic roller in the 355 that is in there now, it is nice for the set up currently in the truck.

then I'd ask Mike the question
you know you will get a straight answer
every project I know of is budget limited at some point
question is where to best spend your hard earned $$$ for whatever results you want (or need)

I received the heads. They look really nice, very clean castings. I took several photos to post up for everyone to see but, will not let me upload due to size. Max 2MB or something like that.

Nice. They will work very well. With porting they can take you along way. Good luck.
