Trust me, if Mike says it will work, and meet your HP goals, it will.... I run one of his cams in an 1100 HP 565 and they work.

1. u ask for qualified opinions, then turn your nose up
2. u wanted a tqy cam, but u have a slippery trans with low end gears
3. u pooh pooh an opinion from a man with generations of cam experience

as someone pointed out, the cam is only part of the combination that gets you to the finish line first
GOOD LUCK ... you'll need it

No. I just didn't know much about BBC. I've built plenty of SBC and the smallest cam I've ever ran was a 292 480. I just didn't know if it was a typo or if I was missing something. I merely didn't know. I wasn't sticking my nose up...just didn't know

Your "292" was probably advertised duration(@.020"). My cam is "264/268 @ .050". If you checked mine at .020" it would be 294/300,
Your ".480" was probably Valve Lift. My cam is .421"/.412" Lobe Lift. You multiply that by your rocker ratio to get gross Valve Lift.

I'm trying to find that can on your website but I can't find it lol. I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere and my phone isn't very user friendly -- can you link the cam Mike?

We make each cam, custom to order.

When you get a chance, just email me at jonescams@bellsouth.net
and include this info:
Cam# BBCR, R79421A-80412-110
264/268 @.050"
.421"/.412" Lobe Lift
110 LSA

I'll get back to you with a price.

AH, there it is .... gotta compare apples to apples, ... sorry about that NOVAK .. I didn't twig to that one

over here we generally always look at advertised duration @ .006" as the duration / lift increases, so does accel / vel ' generally '

Mike chooses cams which "actually" work with parts you have. 700 lift is nothing to scoff at. Just my opinion

krooser's been around the block more than once
listen real close
let me say this
Mike grinds his cams with an inverse radius on the flanks which helps the opening and closing
This is tough to do while giving rpm and longevity but Mike (and his brother and dad) got it figured out- 30 years experience
he uses around a 5" grinding wheel instead of the big 18" wheel to get the undercut right
bottom line is you cannot compare his durations directly with other grinders cams
except maybe Engle's IR grinds :) (who cut Engle's masters?)
a lot more to cams than duration and lobe centers
you have to track the intake pull etc
Mike matches with your head/ intake/ exhaust/ the whole combination
