If I buy the software (of which I've been debating lately) can I use it for our boosted engines?

I have the program as well.

How close is the program to reality ? I see the VE's in my efi ecu and when looking at the VE at maximum torque moment (5700 rpm) and calculating horsepower based on that what I get is the same number that Pipemax is giving me but for the maximum horsepower point (7000 rpm).
On the other hand : when I want to reach the maximum horsepower that I can calculate from VE's at maximum power rpm point (7000), I need to employ a 125% volumetric efficiency to get the same number out of Pipemax.

The results in exhaust pipes vary with the results of course.

No idea what's going on.

The formula's I used are here : http://www.epi-eng.com/piston_engine_te ... ciency.htm

what is the VE% at 7000 RPM your efi ecu is showing ?
or how much CFM at 7000 RPM is efi ecu showing ?

85%. It doesn't show cfm, but I assume it could be calculated.

So far I've come up with the following : 7000 rpm, with 8 intake strokes divided over 2 revolutions, would mean 7000/2*8* 43.375 ci = 1214500 ci of air per minute = 702 cfm when 100 % VE. With 85 % that would be 597,41 cfm.

What kind of general statements can be made to compare the answers that PipeMax would give today vs what a 30 psi setup should be?

Example; With all else being the same, I would expect the cross section of the intake port for 30 psi should be larger than a NA engine, but not as large as 50 psi.

Dumb question but would I rightly assume that port volume is measured with valves in place? Just downloaded PipeMax today.
Thx, Steve
