Boss 347

Post by csx7031 »

Anyone have experience with 347 (8.2 deck) SBF with Boss 302/4V Cleveland heads, 10:1 CR, with Boss 302 dual plane intake and headers? If so, what were results and cam specs?

Thanks,
Chuck

That stock induction set up is the choke on those motors as the stock heads flow enough to make 575 hp in race trim!
You should not need more than 240 / 240 at .050" with .600" lift to make 500 hp, but as always with those heads the port area and those cubes will make it a 4500 rpm and up motor!
You can cut a man's tongue from his mouth, but that does not mean he’s a liar, it just shows that you fear the truth he might speak about you!

Might be better to clarify between peak power and desired shift point.

Solid lifter,
Intake 240-244 at .050 .580-.600 lift
exhaust 246-248 at .050 .550-.560 lift
106*lsa in at 102*s
With a flat top single relief piston and a 58cc head , this will easily rev to 7,200 ( and more) with plenty of below 4,500 punch. I have done more than a few of them. Ditch the stock intake and it's more powerful yet. An 850 dp will be your friend.
