Finally got going on them. Slow going for the first time, but not too bad.

They look good. It's hard to tell in the photo but it looks like #6 is the top tube on the 2nd collector? You may want to drop it down and feed #8 in above it, it may make your life easier.

For tighter cars like this I usually will get # 6and8 on the outside and down together below the starter,
Then 2 and 4 go inside of them and on top as the collector for them is next to starter and pointing more down.
I have forgotten how to post a picture so good luck. PS is the easy side... :)

Lets See...

Yep, and...

And no matter what you do front cylinder is gonna be 3-4inches longer than the others.
I do not lose any sleep about it. #2 is long and #4 is shorter so combined length is not so far off, ok?

I was thinking he was trying to go the Tri-Y route. It appears to be a 2-1 collector.

I have to do some adjusting, I think i have to look kinda like Calvin's SB header in the pic. I have raise up the coll. so I can better get around the A arm mount.
The DS looks to have more room by about 3/4 to 1 inch.

Couple of steps back & 1 forward. If I need another set I think I'll be calling on 900hp. :D

Looks like you're making good progress! How many hours do you think were in doing that first side?

Since it was the first attempt, quite a few, like 55 hrs. Hopefully the other side will go a little faster.

I made some progress this weekend but not as much as I would have liked. The top half of the left side is tacked together and the top half to the right side is roughed out in plastic. There is so much crap in the way it's a series of compromises.

Lookin good. Imagine doing them with the fenders and stuff on...

Are you going to turn the end of 2 and 4 down after your past #8? Also makes #4 longer and #2 shorter.
