Air valves- like AVS do not restrict
just tune them to open as needed and you would not have to have rpm all the time

With a cool custom made dual quad air cleaner it can look BOSS.
That is another big reason for using one of the Price Motorsports intake manifolds. All the Ford or aftermarket re-pop oval air cleaners for the Ford Dual Quad set-up ... FIT.

No need for anything custom unless that is your choice.

The dual quad adapter I have in mind has the same carb spacing as the eddy dual quads has. So all the dual quad air cleaners
that fit those, will fit this.

Holly carbs will not fit unless sideways mounted.

A custom dual quad aircleaner-scoop allows you to make a strong unique visual statement..

Using the adapter on the current good manifold allows you to have your cake and eat it too.

To enhance the low stated rpm range for driving, could -should -can employ a plenum divider plate in the carb adapter and in the manifold plenum

to divide the right-left sides.. Do not use tiny carbs. The 2 eddy (750) carbs will make big power and drive great on the street.
Edelbrock progressive 2x4 carb linkage. Easy.

Easy to tune, too.

The two part dual carb carb adapter is from BDS BLOWERS. not hard to do.

This guy made his own custom dual quad intake manifold for his 351w.

Modified a Offy 360° single quad manifold.

Thanks F-bird for that link! It gave some great info and pictures of the Price intake. The taller 4 degree manifold is what I'm going with as soon as they get the manifold machining work done. Just waiting to get my hands on it! I will do some porting/blending to help increase the airflow through the manifold.
Going to run the Holley 1848 carbs that come with it and then go from there. First thing to go are the carb choke air horns!

Food for thought---- I had an engine on the dyno and after some tuning for best power, The owner took off the carburetor and milled off the choke tower. After we put it back on the engine, IT LOST ten horsepower--- NO SHIT !

Probably lost power if the jetting was not changed to compensate for the gained flow on the primaries. As a side note, stock, super stock guys used to angle their choke blade sightly towards the front of the manifold to direct air flow for a slight gain.

Well the thought was if I have to run a less than 3 inch tall filter, milling the choke tower would give a bit more room for airflow into the primaries.
Now I guess a stub stack, the no choke tower version, might help with air entry, and from what I have read they work better with a flat type air cleaner
lid.

If this is the pro comp blower manifold, they aren't very good or cheap. Soft, with poor casting and machining accuracy. After you get the manifold to fit how it should, you've spent enough money to have bought a decent quality manifold.

No, I didn't buy it. I had a customer bring one to me to make it fit his engine. No pictures were taken, but port alignment was horrible, bolt holes didn't line up properly, manifold face wasn't really the correct angle and it was soft. A known good manifold was trial fitted to the engine to assure the customer it wasn't his engine that needed to be pulled apart and fixed.

Not a 351w example but you can always make something for pretty low dallars if you're not happy with whats available.
