Re: chevy 406
What does your 406 run? Sorry, i must have overlooked this question. Well, over 10 years ago when I had my 12 to 1 408 in a 3200lb street car it went 6.60s at 109 mph. That was with a turbo 350 trans on street tires. The same combination in a 2800lb bracket car ran 5.80s at 115mph.

B.S.? I hate to read that you feel that way. It's definitely not b.s. The truth is that the 6.60s were on a 275 60 bfg radial t/a, not drag radials. I didn't want to mention that because it might sound like b.s.

[/img]I just read that post last night so I responded to it, I thought 408 Nova was asking how well my engine ran with the cam I was referring in this thread so I answered. I'm trying to post a picture of my car. In 2004 I raced it mainly at pier7 dragway in Sallisaw Oklahoma in their radial class. Ran a best of 6.63 at 109 in the 8th with a 1.50 60ft. The car weighed right at 3200lbs with me and two sandbags in the trunck. I built another one with a friend a couple years later, 3050lbs 14 to 1 436 cubic inch with a little better head (Brodix 18x) and a new cam from Harold, 280in. 284ex. on a 106 with his .454 lift series lobe. It went 5.90s at 116 on a drag radial.408 Nova wrote -
