Had this problem once on a good set of billet rods. Put the rods in an oven heating them for about an hour to 350 degrees F. Then used a spray can of CO2 just on the bolt itself and gave them a nice safe whack with a dead blow hammer and Whola! Out they came! Heat (expand rod)+ cool bolt(shrink) = some new clearances + hammer blow =equals movement! Might be worth your try. Hope this helps.

yes, that's how I usually take out the bolts, but if they won't pop at 3 or 4 tons then let off.AC sports wrote:You mean pressing directly on the top of the small end...I don't think I'm game. ..even with an old pin installed. Anyone else done this?
