Look at #4 car that has won 3 consecutive usac / cra championships in a row in California and out west. The motor they prefer the most has 15 year old technology. GB2300 heads, smaller injection, soft reliable easy to drive reliable camshaft that has valve train reliability to 9000rpm. (Mike Jones can hook you up). I run 16 to 1 with 29deg of spark. I KNOW we are down on power and torque from some of the other front runners probably 60 hp or so. In fact #4 team has tried bigger hp engines but the stopwatch slows down (not as drive able). This setup is great for non wing 410 competition. Remember sprint car have NO transmission, the engine has to be smooth from idle on up, no luxury of a gear change.
If You run with a wing All-Pro 283-5 head is hard to beat. Remember are you racing cars or Dyno sheets?
