Is it a Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Cad., Packard or what?
Or is it a Lamar Walden, "non-scalloped valve cover", 409", "W" engine aluminum head?
But I can't imagine a "W" engine head not having a scalloped valve cover???
I haven't a clue what it is, but it sure is PRETTY!!

What is this head?

Yup - judging by the other pictures, it's a poncho. One hell of a Pontiac too.
"Quality" is like buying oats. You can pay a fair price for it and get some good quality oats,
or you can get it a hell of a lot cheaper, when it's already been through the horse.

Looks like the latest version of the CV1 , and yes for a Pontiac.
You can cut a man's tongue from his mouth, but that does not mean he’s a liar, it just shows that you fear the truth he might speak about you!
Re: What is this head?
Did ya look at the rest of the pics? You know the giant Pontiac symbol on the intake and the word "Pontiac" on the valve covers?
EDIT : Did you edit the link above?

Re: What is this head?
Mickey designed his hemi heads to work on all the common 4 bolt blocks
I know they were drilled for FE and Pontiac, any others (Cad, Olds) Bore spacing on the Packard would have been too great but the others are pretty close
I wonder if these heads were so designed?
