It is easy to see how the upper runners do not turn as abruptly on the Vic Jr. Once I get the lower sorted out I will see what I can do on the upper. A guy almost needs to weld the underside of the turn so that the SSR (if you will) can be laid back. It won't be happening on this project, but might be something to try in the future.

But the issue is when I attach the upper and re-test. Airflow is dropping off to the mid-230's. I can't get into the runner entry without cutting the back of the plenum off, which isn't an option on this project. Am I missing something here?
