Looks to me, like something you would sell to a sanctioning body, so they can make sure their "spec" cams are legal.John Wallace wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2017 3:01 pm Has anyone used the 'Quick Cam Tester'?
It checks the cam while still in the engine and with heads on.
(I think)
Quick Cam Tester
Sounds interesting, not sure how accurate though.
As for accuracy, when I design a cam, I design it 8 points pass the decimal point(.00000000"). Allowable Runout on the master is less then .0002". When we straighten the cams for finish grinding, we straighten them to less then .0003"TIR.
The specs on the Quick Cam Tester lift sensor is .0004" measurement resolution.
The standard lift sensor on the Audie Cam Pro Plus, has a resolution of .00004". They also have an upgrade that's 10 times more accurate.
