CSA's aren't changed too much. A lot of clean up contour work.
Funny in the burr finish, I've been doing that for 20 years. I see it's in vogue now here on Speedtalk.
Pretty much everything I've seen on here is what I've found too. Little less flowbench CFM, little more dyno HP.

So you know the improvement in power production a burr finish has over a polished finish. Love the cnc work on valves, I am interested in improvements from those mods. Thanks, Charlie

MTENGINES, we had talked about me modifying my 2958 intake manifold to improve it. After the second phase (round) of modifications we flowed it on the cylinder head today for the second time. I was tickled to death with the results. Will post pictures and numbers soon to share what we did. Thanks Mark.

Not finished shots of 247 cc Dart bowl. Roughed out with ancient single cut oval burr 1/2 " dia. that was 6" got bent and is now 4" shaft. Rpm makes the difference and grinder torque. Slow and lots of torque make it happen. I also cannot come close to this with an air grinder. Hope this helps and thanks for the kind words. Charlie

I am about to invest in some new die grinders.Can you tell me exactly what you are using please??
Also if I szend them down to you can you train them so they produce the same results as you do???????????????????????????????????

David, I know you have a full sized electric die grinder. I would make up a cheap speed controller from a heavy duty dimmer or rheostat check wattages and go from there. Should cost $20- $25 max. If you want a grinder that lasts buy the big Dewalt in the picture. Expensive and heavy but nice torque and very durable. The trained die grinders are programmable cnc centers and for sure are on my wish list! I have had zero luck training my grinders, they keep making holes!

Obviously, it's just a matter of what you're used to using..... But I can't imagine trying to port heads with a monster sized grinder like most of the electric ones are.
