I have acquired a set of Manley valves and am trying to determine if they are an intake or exhaust material.
I have no idea what the original application is for them, (possibly Pontiac exhaust) they are 11/32 stems and 1.77-78" dia.
On the end of the stem it has ( MANLEY K-HB ).
Anyone know what the K-HB means.

Sounds like a Pontiac Exh to me, and I can confirm that Manley Pontiac Exh valves do check in dead on at 1.77", where as Ferrea 's check in at 1.75".

Email Manley on the stamping code.

Manley said that the K-HB is a batch code.

Pontiac 1.77" exh valves came in 3 lengths, depending on the heads they were used in. 4.98", 5.1" & 5.2".

Looks like I have 8 of the 5.2's, Plan is to set up some peanut ports for 11/32 stems and will use them for the exhaust enlarging from the 1.72 and using small block chevy extended length 2.10's for the intakes.

That sounds good, and you can increase the valve bowl Throat size by .020" and still have good meat for a nice 3 angle seat job!
Be sure to back cut the valve's with a 30 to leave you a .075" wide seat.

1.78" is also the stock intake valve on a lot of small block fords, but I don't remember what their length is
