I just want to publically say that I AM THE DUMBEST DUMBASS THAT EVER WAS. I AM 100% FULL ON, UNADULTERATED MORON, KNOT HEAD, INCOMPETENT, GOOFBALL IDIOT.

There. I feel better now. Not smarter. Just better.

Somehow, I don't know how I didn't catch it...the mother humping PCV valve was plugged. And not a little. It took full shop air to blow it out. I don't even know what was in there because when it finally blew out, it went into the field. So who knows what was in there. I know I pulled the whole hose off the carb and it didn't change anything.

But now, with the hose off it gains idle speed. There is a pull on the PCV valve.

As I had to say to a wall one day in basic training...

I AM DUMB. I AM DUMB. I AM DUMB. I AM DUMB. I AM DUMB. I AM DUMB.

The hallucinations never go completely away, but you can learn to ignore them.

Yep it's fixed. Doesn't make me feel any less idiotic. I'm afraid to tell my wife what happened. She THINKS I'm a genius.

You just may benefit from some dope smoking.. Cures almost any ailment. (according to the experts). Very easy to get a medical marijuwana card these days. The amount of regular md's that now prescribe to most anybody is nuts.

If you left your parts disconnected for a while, some critter may have crawled in or made a nest there. Every spring I have to drill the beeswax out of the pee hole on my 175 hp Merc outboard. The carpenter bees will occupy any hole they can find, the elder bugs will fill any void, and the stink bugs crawl inside the motors of my electric tools.

Dirt daubers are terrible during the summer in my neck of the woods. You have to cover everything that has an opening. I've seen them fill a quarter inch hole overnight before

Be aware that a PCV valve is designed to only flow air in one direction.
It has a anti backfire safety valve action as part of its function.
Do not eliminate that.

You will find that with the added air flow of a PCV valve at idle that with it you fo not need drilled holes in the primary throttle plates for extra idle air flow.
its either one or the other not both.
Otherwise the 4 throttle plates T slot exposure at idle ends up incorrect.
Get the pri and sec throttles T slot exposure at idle correct before digging into the idle circuit etc etc.

Ha! I was so stumped it was plugged that when I hit it with shop air whatever was in there blew clear out into the field. It must have had some weight to it.

The really idiotic thing I did was when I had the engine on the run in stand. I wanted to use clear hose to hook the PCV up. Don't know why...just thougt it was cool. Then I noticed that it didn't take much vacuum to suck the clear tubing shut. So I grabbed grabbed the old one.

That one hose screws me for hours. I hope the hose enjoyed it.

I already realized I need new throttle plates. Going to call BLP next week and get them coming.

Also, I'm going to order an ME Wagner dual circuit adjustable PCV valve. I'm sure having some adjustment will really screw me up.
