The HP and Torque numbers that are shown in IOP are based on a cam selected using the Torque Master cam Program.

That makes a good example.
Your seat throat is 2.84sq.in based on some pictures in this topic.
With 315cfm CD I end to ~116VE% at 7000rpm, which could be ~720hp potential at same RPM.
At pushrod pinch the frow would be already choked around 6500rpm, which would ultimately limit the HP potential.
Limitied to ~6500rm would make the maximum HP potential at seat based on potential dynamic pressure to ~680hp.
The error would be in this case +50hp in estimate if calculated with 2.5sq.in runner average cross section area.
The math is from my excel, so there may be errors as well as most of the code is just something I have figured my sefl by reading physics books and something like how CD affect port depression and dynamic pressure is just something I had to invent.
I did not understand that there was results from other applications, like Cam program, which was a bit confusing.

You beat me to it. I was going to comment, that, with a goal of 7000 peak hp rpm I am assuming, it won't get there at 2.36. If the goal is just having a 7000 rpm rev limit, and a peak horsepower rpm somewhere below that, that's a different story.68corvette wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 6:18 amThat makes a good example.

That is one of the differences of developing a port on the bench and real world experience. Thanks! More grinding this weekend.

I am not sure where 7000 RPM came from.68corvette wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 6:18 amThat makes a good example.

But lets look at the numbers you have posted
427.65 ci @ 7000 RPM @ 116% VE @ 60F @ 29.92 BP = a mass air flow of 4602.2 lbs/hr
@ 13:1 Air / Fuel Ratio = mass fuel flow of 354 lbs/hr
354 lbs/hr / 720 HP = 0.49167 BSFC
--------------
427.65 ci @ 7000 RPM @ 103.8% VE @ 60F @ 29.92 BP @ 13:1 A/F -- 720 HP would be about .44 BSFC

You don't have to wait on others results, go back through the data you have on previous builds and calculate PE, and see if highest PE always made the most power.Smoke ring wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2017 7:56 am But why keep speculating it won't work? Why not just wait for the results of its testing and then make an informed decision. That is what I am going to do. Theres nothing more to say really at this point.
It didn't on my previous builds.
