There's no sliding motion there.

Would someone please enlighten me?
Just because the motor oil won't stay on the parts very long, and it may be a while until you break the engine in.

So is comp red cam lube ok to use and mix with oil?

All bearings, including roller lifters and roller rockers, go thru an initial burnish action of bearings to their inner parts, much like lifter to cam. That burnishing action needs a good quality oil while that is happening. Most come shipped with an extreme pressure lubricant. which is why they do not want you to wash it off. Problem with that is, it may have dust, dirt ,crap in that lubricant. So I too wash every thing and apply a extreme lubricant. I think lubriplate is not a extreme lubricant and it damn sure will blind a filter just as straight moly will.

Reed,
You are correct, Lubriplate is not an extreme pressure lubricant. Good quality assembly lube should be used for the application that you have presented.

This stuff stays where it's put and mixes well with oil. It's my new favorite.

Don’t be so sure...I saw it used daily to build large Diesel engines for a MAJOR OEM....

Why not just use plain old STP that you can pick up any where? Other than the fact that it doesn't come in a tube ( it did years ago for a short time) and is messier than hell , it has virtually everything you need.

STP is not a extreme pressure lube, it is a viscosity enhancer. At one time Lucas had a extreme pressure lube, dont know about now.

Redline assembly lube, great film strength, good wash out,on start up,as oil takes over.No filter clog.
