I'm sure they'd like to hear how much he is missed and respected here.

I sure can Bill. Will do right now, I'm a Steve Sherman friend on Facebook.

and remember fellas:

"The intake manifold is there just to hold the carburator"

Great Guy.He will be missed.
I just used that quote and referenced him in that intake test thread Chad Spier put up. I didn't necessarily agree with everything he had to say, and he may have been a bit old school, and obviously stubborn, but I respected the guy. My condolences to the family. After all, they are the ones that are most affected.

This was some really sad news to come across. I always enjoyed reading his posts on here, even if I disagreed with them. He will be missed dearly.

My first experience with meeting Joe was back in the latter part of the 70's. He was one of those guys who was always this side of the horizon. We disagreed as often as the reverse but regardless of that, he was always one of a kind. My thought's go to the family at these sad moments. May your hearts mend quickly.

I will miss his honesty and straight forward nature. He shared a lot of his knowledge whether you agreed or not. I liked that. Prayers for the family left behind.

Damn. Damn. Damn. He could have written a book I for sure would have bought several copies.
We have been very fortunate that he has always been out here telling it like it is!

Sometimes I still need to remind myself that nothing last forever here on earth.

R.I.P. Mr. Sherman. You will be missed. My prayers are with the family.
