Whats the most anyone ever milled a early 351w head?
Done some Bigblock Doves .080 and heard people doing .100. Was thinking about maybe .060 on the Dooe 351w.

Makes the head face too thin and the HG won't seal.
Been there done that with a Y block.

Milled C9OE heads .060 51cc. Ran them on a 12+ comp 302 in bracket car throughout the 90's+ with no issues.

You can. Mill it .080" and it will but not hold for long!
You can cut a man's tongue from his mouth, but that does not mean he’s a liar, it just shows that you fear the truth he might speak about you!

.050 aught to be safe for this low H.P. deal if I'm lucky. Adding a 35 degree top from the 069 cutter sure seem to sink the valves, but the thin valves margin doesnt help. With the 5.07 gt40 replacement valves gave me plus .050 at the keeper for a 1.87 installed height, just perfect for my springs 125# closed and 325# open @ .550 lift. I would go more but these Roller tips will have to be watched to be sure they get plenty of oil to keep them cool. Screw in studs and cut for double springs and PC seals. Just need to get milled and there Ready. I get over there a few Hrs a week at best so it goes kinda slow, he's a busy guy. Hope I can get over 9 to 1 compression, next will be CCing with a seringe and alcohol and a piece of lexan. Sure hope my son enjoys this.

Regularly angle mill .100" Stop just past the upper head bolt hole. Be aware that many heads are wild from the dowel hole on each end so, machining the intake side square to the dowel is a must.
