Been considering going back to a block mounted mechanical fuel pump (drag application, gas fuel) on my new engine. I could then use my current Comp 250 pump for feeding a small n20 system.
What kind of fuel pump pushrod is typically used for a billet solid roller cam in a BBC? I think I've seen both bronze tipped ones and also roller tipped pushrods.
What works best and how do they last over time? What companies make them and who sells them?
BTW, the pump I'm considering using is the Carter 172 competition with #10 inlet and #8 outlet,, 6-8 psi, no regulator required.
thanks

You can use either but I prefer the bronze tipped one as it follows the K.I.S.S. plan,,,
I get mine from Trend but Comp, among others has them.
