I haven't CCed everything out, but the JE Piston catalog shows it should be around14.5-1. The cam is an UltraDyne SR and is marked 296/310 R6 and was in the engine when we bought it. Weiand Team G #7530 intake with a 1" 4-hole tapered spacer. The engine seems to run the best with 34* to 36* timing. Powerglide with a 1.76 first gear with a 4.56 rear gear on a 29" X 9' slick. The track keeps Sunoco 110 purple and 112 Blue, we usually run the Blue, but have run the purple and can't tell the difference. My all time best was 10.43 @ 128. I usually take the timing back to 32* for racing (starts easier), and If the air is decent 6.70's in the 1/8 at 101. Your 10.14 @ 131 is impressive to me ,especially shifting gears . Have a Great Day !!redliner wrote: ↑Thu Oct 18, 2018 9:28 amWhat compression is this motor? I have a new combo 414 11.5-1 262/268, .421/.412 lobe lift, 110 in at 106, 227 S p i e r Profilers,in a 3100lb car with a TKO 600/ 4.88 Olds rear. Best time (@ 34* timing) is 10.14 @ 131.69.I just wondered if this is in the ballpark?Sodbuster wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 10:02 pm Several years ago I bought a used 421 that was built for and ran in dirt late model but had found it's way into a pulling truck before I got it. Stock block with splayed caps, Eagle crank and rods, JE pistons, UltraDyne cam. It came with Sportsman II heads we changed them for Profiler 176X. We also had to change the oil pan to fit the chassis. New rings and bearings when the heads when changed. It's been in our 3000 lb. G-Body Bracket Car for 5 seasons now and is started to get tired, but still runs hard (10.40's in good air). We are planning on replacing it over the winter, but I have been very happy with it so far. Good Luck !!!

Ladder bar set up with twelve bolt and 4.56s. I have hit it with nitrous and it cut 1.29 60ft almost on the bumper. Straight as an arrow down through there.6.50camaro wrote: ↑Thu Oct 18, 2018 8:37 pm " Split" whats the suspension set up of the Nova this is going into ? Dan
