TFS 11r 170 and 190 heads for sbf

Post by travis »

This must be some top secret information because I can find practically nothing specific. Does anybody know what valve springs come on these heads?? I know they are PAC 1.290” springs supposedly good for hydraulic rollers up to .600” lift, but no idea what seat and open pressure. The “track heat” upgrade on their regular TW heads are 15-20 pounds lighter on the seat than what Camking says I need for my cam, but they are a 1.46” or 1.47” diameter spring...not the same ones used on the 11r heads.

Also...are the 11r’s worth the extra $300 or so over the track heats?

I like the chambers much better on my 11R heads due to the stood up valve angles. Not quite as good as Kaases p38 chamber but still far better than standard 20 degree fare. Works to mprove pressure recovery on the short side and also adds more ptv clearance as an added bonus. Another nice thing is availability of 53cc chambers to more easily boost compression on smaller cid builds.

I swapped my springs over to conicals with Ti retainers so can't speak for those springs but they didn't seem like anything special so bagged them up for resale.

A quick phone call should get you the info you need.
