On my 383 sbc w AFR vortec, 9.5:1 TPI...I still need to tune for 87, from what I can see it will work well...eventually- need some fast burn Ford heads--pay for a good chamber.

Why it is that folks don't relate decreasing rotating weight like tires and rims as the same thing as adding HP has been beyond me for years!

Maybe it's because it's not a sexy as saying your 351 is making 1 hp per cid I don't know!
Aluminum rims and regular stock size street tires here, plus a small air dam under the front bumper, and I will be playing with some bed covers as well.

When I designed the 355 in the old work truck it was all about mileage and usable torque. The guys at work rib me to open the hood and show them the worked BBC, I tell them it is my style economy small block. Still not great on gas! From my first thread, viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36342 Thanks, Charlie
