Solid block cooling

You guys that run 1/8 mile with solid block and coolant through heads. Will they stay cool enough on return road? With rad and fan setup all alloy on gas. He has a grouted iron within 1" of deck now with no issues. Wants to switch to alloy. Hes wanting to avoid tow vehicle. Ive only worked with wet block. Thanks Steve

If it's on alcohol, you MIGHT get away with it, but I wouldn't chance it.....better to tow....On gas, no...too much heat buildup...not worth the effort

If he can pit near the top end he Might get away with it.
