Who has a dyno sim

Post by cv67 »

Curious...not that these are reality

385 ci sbc
Proble domed pistons. 15 down in hole SHuold be around 11.5 or so
Conquest heads ported my Mamo to 230 cc. 62cc combusiton chamber (May have bee 60)
294cfm at .600 232 ex I can get the rest of the #s if need be. 2.02 1.6 angle milled a lot, plenty of chamber work.
Jesel 1.6 Fully ported Team G stem to stern. 1: spacer 850 HO by Jeff
Dougs 1-3/4 x3 Tuned headers
RCR/Jones underdrive system elec fan
ISky solid roller similar to 294 r grind
260/268 294/302 .670 108lsa
6" Hbeams, chinese 4340 crank usualy HV pump

Looking as possibly doing an aluminim 18 deg deal not sure doing 220 0r 227 heads would be worth it. Hafe a stip dominator and Dornton intake-
Seen a few ebay big names advertising things like this at 630 not buying it. Guessing 550/480. Could be less!

Why would it be hard to believe a 385 making 630HP at 7000RPM with 11.5:1 compression and ported 230cc heads?

Around 1.63 per cube, EMC engines do that with less cam.

Here is a 353 at 570 hp http://www.speedtalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=51911

The 380" SBF road racer that I consult on has fairly similar parts except for 12.5:1 and a ~1,000 CFM Braswell. It makes 630 @ 7,800 and 535 lb-ft. @ 6,300.

Guessing some of you that do this for a living have seen this plenty of times and have a ballpark.
If only there was a strip nearby...

In this day and age I don't think you need a dyno sim, a dyno or a drag strip to build really good power unless your just looking for a number to impress others with.

There is enough info and data out there to build an above average combo if you just take the time to put it together.

I’m sure that If one of you guys have much time, and a HP estimating program, you will already be swamped with requests. If not, I may have an interesting combo to estimate.

I can put that into Engine Analyser Plus for you. I'll need low lift flow figures and a few other things. Not for another day or so though. I'm not a pro with the program or with engines though, so it's "with a grain of salt" territory.
