Putting together a 496 (4.250 stroke - 6.386 rod) BBC for a street car. Nothing fancy, running a 8-71 in a street rod... owner wants 750 HP. Anyways, looking at a Dart Aluminum head, do some cleanup work on the ports and bolt 'em on. Any reccomendations on what head to run? Blower manifold is square port,

BBC cyl head choice - blower motor

We built a 572 BBC (4.50 x 4.50) engine for a customer with a 6-71 blower and used out of the box Dart 320 heads and they worked very well. The engine made 850HP and 850Ft.lbs @ 12psi boost on pump gas with 8.5:1 compression. So your combo with 496 inches and an 8-71 should be able to make 750 HP no problem with 10 psi (or less) with the same type of out of the box head.
Keep it simple, that works best.
