26" tires vs 28" tires

how much time will i lose switching from 26s to 28s.i'm running a 4.10 gear in the 8th mile.any info will be gladly apreciated.

Do not know you combination so can not say. The 28" tire with 4.1 is the same as the 26" tire with a 3.8.

i ran a 7.05 with a 275 50 drag radial which is 26" tall . i ran 7.25 with 28" slicks.3300# monte carlo 358 with dart pro 1, lunati solid roller with 244 244 dur. 528 528 lift ,3200-3500 stall ,th 350 ,4.10 gear.

If traction is an issue you may gain. You will have a slightly larger contact patch and slightly less torque on that patch. Which at times can help the 60 ft times. It's all a matter of combination. I have dropped gearing and lost time in the 1/8th mile. Gave the time up to tire slip.
Older I get the less I know for sure

What happened to your 60 foot times? If you did not need the extra traction of the bigger tire you probable loss a good part of the time difference in the first 60 feet.

with the 26" 1.60-1.65 @ 60' 4.59 @ the 330' ,with the 28" 1.72-1.77 60' 4.73 330',also lost 2 mph.

What that says to me is you didn't need the extra traction or more gear for your power curve or torque converter. Or if you look at it another way, your power curve is too high for your gear or torque converter. Then on the other hand your torque converter may be stalling below your power curve. That is why they call it a combination. What you lose on the 60s is hard to pick back up.
