Lower the front end?

Post by GotSomeRust »

I was thinking about lowering my front end about 3 or 4 inches to give it a better looking stance. The car currently plants pretty hard (see pic #3). Will lowering the front end adversely affect the weight transfer and hookup? Better, worse, or no affect on ET? Thanks...

I would lower it by putting some tall soft springs in it.

For what it's worth I'd agree with Tod74. If you simply cut a loop or two off your front springs they'll be stiff and won't allow the front end to rise as easily.
Of course, when you lower the front end your center of gravity will be lower so the car won't transfer weight as easily, but softer springs and maybe softer shocks might be enough to make up for it.
