62 belair vintage drag car

Post by gnicholson »

getting ready to restore an old 62 drag car. the old wishbone frames on these things are known for twisting. i was thinking about adding outer frame rails, tying them to a 6 pt roll bar, replacing the olds rear with traction bars and fact suspension with a 9 in and 36 in ladder bars. the car will be a 4 speed and run high to mid 10's. i would also like to get rid of the center of the x frame due to it being in the way of everything. other than that we are trying to keep the car looking like it did in the late 60's. any ideas? 4 link, frame mods etc

How did that 62 turn out? My first car was a 63 S.S. then a black 64 S.S.
