i have a barn find that was run in the early 90's in ga and would like to update it
when welded all the weld passed specs no problem retired military aircraft welder did job and used 78 suzuki gs 750 bike as donor
bracket fun and safety was a concern
all the rusty primer is indoor storage for 10+ years
have bead blaster so will be taken care of
anyhow i am going to replace the rear end set up with mini sprint axle set up
the lower end of a bike frame was used to cradle the engine
and the swing arm hanging points are still there .
i am considering using the original a arm modified to run a axle shaft across it and use a mono shock system for suspension, thoughts ?
next
will take frame and refab the hoop and put legal steel where needed
and thinking about running a matching top tube the length of frame with 3" length down tubes
what gauge mild steel tube would i use
will use a mini front end assembly up front with brakes
