AFCO or QA1?

Post by Bram Stroker »

Any opinions from experienced users of either brand on preference?

Looking to replace front suspensions this coming weekend.

2G F body Camaro, 496 w/blower, PG trans, 9" short rear with ladder bars.
Rear is currently using AFCO coilovers but am considering trying some QA1 springs and shocks in the front.
Application: drag

Don't know about the drag race stuff, but for circle track racing, I would not use AFCO. They are outdated with thier valving and controls. I prefer QA-1

I believe AFCO has been owned by Speedway for a number of years. Their move from metal bands to stick-on plastic labels for coil spring rates was the small indication of
money over product quality that started me away from them.
