TRRC/Method Leaf spring suspension

Where's the advantages compared to a regular adjustable traction bar? The front of the bar rides below a cushion?

Bob, these 9 inch tire high HP leaf spring cars are a nightmare to hook on a marginal track, we fought this car for years with the Caltracs, always had to use traction control to get the car down the track, not any more with this setup. Can't find anything on TRRC except "Texas Rail Road Commission" on google. Whoo is TRCC and I'd like to look further into this.
