I have been told that if you run the 1" longer yoke on the carrier of a 3 link midwest mod, it can add forward bite to the car?.....I feel I am pretty good at understanding how making changes to these type suspensions affects the cars handling, But this is something i have been told that I dont understand.....doese it make sense? and if so why?

All it does is change the driveshaft length. Nothing else.

I guessing the thought is that it allows more axle housing wrap and therefore more bar angle.
It's late and I'm not visualizing very well but I don't immediately see how. We've had the argument
here before about "pinion angle" which term is often used not in the strict technical sense
of driveline operating angles but referring to pinion to ground angle. Some guys including me
believe using more beginning "negative" or downward angle can improve bite because of its effect on the rear
suspension links. Fire away, I'm going to bed...
