PS Pump speed

I read somewhere that the Saganaw type 2 PS pump speed should not exede 5500 rpm at the pump shaft .
This pump will be used on a different engine so the pulley ratios are non stock .
Using my engines 6.25" crank pulley and a 6.7" pump pulley ,( largest I can find so far ) , the pump speed will be 6063rpm at my 6500rpm limit .

Question is >> Is this only of concern , on for example a Road Racer where the steering could be going from lock to lock at high rpm's .
My application is a weekend streeter and drags .

Oftentimes the biggest issue is at a standstill with a low idle speed.
