Another Brake fluid

Post by exhaustgases » Wed Dec 31, 2014 9:43 pm

I didn't want to take over someone else's post. At O' Reillys auto parts stores they have "Synthetic DOT 3" it is all they have for DOT 3, on the bottle it says its fully compatible with normal DOT 3. So what is the deal with this new stuff?

AFAIK, just a premium, marketing driven term. Yeah, it probably has a narrower range of molecule sizes. NOT silicone, though, so no worries there.
