braided stainless brake hoses?

Post by rallye bob »

I have a drag race only, 3500 lb, high 9.00 low 10.00 sec. car with the Aerospace front #AC205 (drag) disc. brakes and drum rear brakes.... My question is for the front,"flex" braided stainless brake hoses, is -3 AN or -4 AN (hose size) the best choice?
TIA...

AN 3 is plenty. AN4 MIGHT make them come on quicker, but you wouldn't know the difference. There is not much fluid flow to even matter. The pressure is the same with either one.

Just keep in mind that stainless flex hose does give a little sponginess as compared to steel line. At 3400 lbs, I would stick with #3 just to slightly minimize that feel. Phil D.

Use -3. It will have a more solid feel to the brake.
