Brake Pad Characteristics

I’ve developed a new brake heat rejection scheme that substantially lowers the rotor heat load and temperature under hard use. However, the pad heat rejection is not much affected, i.e. the rotor runs a good bit cooler than the pads without supplementary pad convection cooling. I’m concerned that the hot pad and cool rotor could result in an excess transfer of pad to rotor, particularly the more refractory ceramic pad common in abusive use. This probably can be addressed with convective pad cooling, but eighteen wheelers for instance have great brake load episodes with limited cooling.

With the restrictions on pad material, is there a good pad material for high performance use that wouldn’t have the transfer layer rotor adhesion of refractory pads?
