stret stock idea

Is there an advantage to running a 82-92 camaro with a 3 link rear for a dirt street stock race car over a mid 80s monty. Our rules were changed this year to allow this era. Personally I am tired of watching the iroc of monty carlos. I am going to build something different. This is my first choice, but don't want to waste a bunch of time if it is the wrong way to go. Rules are stock type suspention, 3000lb min. With all the knowledge on here I figured this was a good place to start. Can probably get away with altering the lower arm holes for start. Any coments welcome or if anybody else is doing it. Thank you all.

You may want to try posting this ? on 4m.net lots of dirt racers on there.

I have ben watching this site and seems like some other things relating to traction and hooking up are in common. Thought this way I could get a broader range of ideas. I do watch 4m some but I kinda like this site a bit better. sounds like some engineers on here. Thank you
