shock travel

Post by Novaz »

I am relocating my lower rear shock mount so that the shock is more vertical I have Strange double adjustables with 6 1/2" of travel how much extension travel should I be aiming for with the car at ride height currently I only have 3 1/2" due I suspect to the way they are leaned in.
Thanks

My guess is that 3 1/2" is probably enough, but 3" of compression is probably more than you need for a drag car. I think 2 or 2 1/2" of compression and 4 or 4 1/2" extension might be better. But I should stress that I'm no expert.
