JE Pistons Interview

Post by speedtalk » Thu Feb 05, 2004 1:01 am

JE Pistons http://www.jepistons.com/ has just agreed to be on the show - really looking forward to this one. I think I've got some good questions, but if you've got any ideas, post them below.

BTW, i don't no if you noticed by i thanked you for the cd in the announcements forum. I have some questions for JE.

1- additional clearances for skirt coatings
2- besides material and application, what influences minimum skirt clearances, ie. skirt taper, size of oil ring drains etc.
3- they use two materials to my knowledge, 2618 and 4032. What is the maximum power limits for each?

Thanks

Lots of questions lately about pistons and rings so I thought I'd run this two part interview again. Enjoy
