What's everyone's favorite brand of coffee?

Post by crazyman »

I like mine black, no sugar. I prefer Folgers or Eight o clock bean. Today I bought Chock full 'o nuts original for the first time. I'll try it out on Sunday.

Peet's Major Dickason's Blend... probably the best coffee I've ever had.

http://www.peets.com/shop/coffee_detail ... 8&cid=1005

Our local grocery store (Wegmans) carries it...

Close 2nd is Small World Coffee's Organic Love Blend:

Some Wholefoods stores will carry it... at least the one in Princeton NJ does (or you can stop in Small World's stores in Princeton and pick it up there).

Melita made one cup at a time in the Melita funnel.

Not my favorite, but McD's Newman's coffee for a buck (NE Promotion) is a pretty good cup on the road.

I was in Vietnam 2 years ago, they grow coffee there. Bought several pounds of beans in the market, ground them when I got home. Was REALLY fresh & DAMN it was good. Most of the beans/coffee we get here in N America is pretty stale by the time we get it. I was kinda paranoid coming through customs though, all my luggage REEKED of coffee, still does two years later! Got some strange looks, but no-one said anything...

Ever had Vietnamese iced coffee? Picture expresso so strong the spoon will stand up in it, mixed with some condensed milk, poured over crushed ice.

8 o'clock regular is my daily fix. The 9 to 5 stuff from Amway is pretty good too, although I haven't had it for years.

BTW, the water has everything to do with a great cup of coffee. The city water here in Houston sucks, IMO, 'cause my 8 o'clock tastes much better back home with my private well water.

Oh yeah, black, no sugar.
